My painting has evolved from a passion for realistic art in the broadest sense.
The spectrum ranges from the existential (portraits and groups) on the trivial (cinematic aesthetics
of mass culture) to the theming of historical trauma.
In the course of my artistic work I have developed a wide range of scenic possibilities, ranging up to now almost complete abstraction.
I am not an artist of the self-imposed restriction by a specified program and submitting to the dictates of recognizability.
I am looking for the challenge in the reflexive use of the possibilities, and the calculated handling over various forms of artistic expression seems to me as a tried and tested way of working, to explore existential and aesthetic horizons.
